DAY 2 - January 20, 2014

By lunch time, it was beautiful outside. 
Sunshine & about 75 degrees.

The girls decided to go for a walk on their lunch break. :)

Natasha: "We walked 1 mile, burned 90 calories. A start to the beginning of becoming fit, doing this is better than not doing anything at all, or closing files!...".

Then they had a really good salad for lunch.

DAY 1 - January 16, 2014

 
Hi! I'm Karine, working mom of a Sophomore @ Texas Tech & 2 monkeys of 4 (girl) & 6 (boy) years old. I'm a little bit crazy about sports & fitness... Crazy enough that I became an Ironman, "Ironwoman" I should say last May... I am not going to lie, it took everything in me to finish & cross that finish line that day!

I am always bugging my co-workers to get into healthy habits, trying to get them to register for 5K & sports events... But I think that's ok, they already know I'm a pain! lol
 
In 2013 I started a health program @ work. 
We participated in a half-marathon relay & 2 x 5K races. 
 
But you know what? That's it! This year, we are taking matters into hands: 2014 here we go!

That said, I went to TJ Maxx yesterday night & bought some torture tools for our brand new fitness room/conference room @ lunch time!

  • 1/2 lb. (1/4 lb. per handle) weighted Jump Rope x 2
  • Medium Resistance Band
  • 5 lb. (2.5 lbs. each) Pair Dumbbells
  • 3 lb. Weighted Exercise Ball x 1
  • Resistance Tubing with Handles x 2
  • AB Toning Wheel x 1

Hi! My name is NATASHA, I am 30 years of age. I am a wife and a mother to an amazing son.


I chose 2014 to be my year. I want to be High School Skinny, again! Some people would laugh at that, but that is my “motto” for this year. I want to enjoy life as a healthy and fit person, have lots of energy for my son in the next coming years, and get my “sexy” back for myself, oh, and for my husband! My journey starts today, Thursday, January 16, 2014. From here I will accomplish everything ahead of me, I will continue to have a healthy and fit life. Here is to SKINNY 2014...
